The Friends of St Mary’s Church is an independent registered charity, formed in 1979, with a heartfelt mission: to support the restoration, repair and conservation of our historic parish church and its churchyard.

St Mary’s is not just a place of worship - it is a much loved landmark in the centre of our community. The Friends raise funds to ensure that this beautiful building and its surroundings remain a space where future generations can continue to gather, celebrate, and reflect.

Projects we have supported over the years include:

• Roof repairs

• New bell ropes

• Stonework repairs

• Disabled access

• Floodlights

• Organ repairs

Projects on the horizon include:

• A new sound system

• Restoration of the stained glass

• Internal redecoration
